Unemployed Story #2034: Sheryl, Topeka-Kansas

I worked for a Doc here in the city where i live, going on 3 yrs when cancer took his life in just 2 mos it was sudden with no warning. That was in March of last year i havent worked since then I send resumes..Make telephone calls..go from one place to another asking workplaces if they need help in any area ive gotten the same response not hiring..resume on file and alot of the bussiness is closing down. I just lost my car of only two payment left to pay off when my unemployment ran out in Aug..my husband and i are struggling just to pay the bills and the rent on his salary of only 1000 dollars a month with medication needing to be paid for him it barely meets the bills..We do get food through the places thats provided but you can only do that once a month and many have no food available anymore with so many needing it these days. Im pleading for mercy here congress please pass the tier 5
