Unemployed Story #2031: Laurie, Wyoming-Michigan

I've been unemployed 2 years and I was desperately trying to finish school before the unemployment ran out but I don't think I'm going to make it. I've applied for almost 1,000 jobs and very little response. I know they say our economy is recovering but I don't see it. We need an extension because of this unemployment rate but more importantly we need a serious job program. I don't like being on unemployment. I want a job! The problem is that I don't think anyone in congress is listening anymore and the unemployed are going to get swept under the carpet so to speak after the elections. The President and Congress just aren't listening to us anymore and I'm afraid I'm losing hope of ever recovering from this.
