Dear Mr. President - I have been laid off for more than one year. At my former job, I was part of the project that moved 33% of our back-end operations over-seas, resulting in a large lay off. I have been searching and applying for jobs non-stop for the past year. Not only can I not get a 'career' job, using my bachelor degree and 10 year corporate experience, I can't even get a call back for an entry level or minimum wage job. Taking away unemployment, which is barely enough to survive on for utilites and living expenses, will leave me hungry and without a place to live. Llet's not even start to talk about previous unsecured debt, student loan, and house payment. To top it off, I was denied employment due to the condition of my consumer credit report!! Why are we perpetuating the vicious cycle? I walk around the streets of Phoenix and see illegal immigrants who don't appear to be hungry, working the minimum wage jobs, at the dr.'s office being seen, whereas I am hungry, without health insurance and without hope. I have worked in this country for 16 out of my 31 years of existence, paying taxes in, and when I need it most, the government is falling short. Stop paying for illegals and start paying for me!!! Don't forget the middle, working class!!! I worked hard, put myself through college to help guarantee a future for myself, and at this point it seems like a waste of time and resource. Thank you for the opportunity to air my grievances. Please don't perpetuate the cycle by denying those benefits who need it most
