Unemployed Story #1816: Eva, New York-New York

There has to be some help for the MILLIONS of Americans that are out of jobs and out of funds that have children like myself or mortgage payments or that need food and clothing and shelter. Since fall of 2008 I have not bought myself clothing to give to my girls the little bit I've had I give to them I look for jobs everyday any job for me will suffice but not even Target hired me. I'm a 99er and as of last week I have not one cent, in a few weeks the time to buy school supplies and clothing as well as winter clothing will come and I still have not found a job. Extend help to us americans don't forget the 99ers think of all the families that will have an irreparable loss. Food Stamps are not enough, we voted for you and trusted you and now I have no clue what's going to happen to me and my children. Do the right thing and give us a 5th tier your nation needs it.

Unemployed Story #1815: S, Bowling Green,-Kentucky

To whom it may concern: Please pass a tier V unemployment extension. I am currently near the end of tier IV and am only going to receive one more check. I currently haven't found work and depend on my unemployment to pay my rent and raise my son. It is hard enough to maintain a home with what little unemployment that i do receive. It is very important that you protect the unemployed workers of America. We need this funding until more jobs are created. Thank you.

Unemployed Story #1811: ronald, hesperia-California

no more money means i can't even afford to go out there and eat, let alone afford to be able to put gas in the car to make it around to even look for full-time work. with no money means being stuck with NO CHANCE! at moving forward.

Unemployed Story #1810: Emily, Holland-Pennsylvania

Americans need more help than other countries, illegals, and wasteful special interests. HELP your people! We need more jobs! And until you can get us jobs, we need to eat and pay our bills! Pass tier 5 to survive today!

I have been unemployed, or under-employed for just over 2 years. I lost my job in Jan 2008, due to my company losing it's contract with another company. I was four months pregnant at the time. Good luck finding a job while pregnant! Add to that, my husband had just lost his job at the end of 2007 due to a medical issue that prevented him from doing his job safely. (No, no disability and no benefits for him, just out of luck). I have only been able to find random part time work since then. And with the cost of childcare, forget finding anything full time that will cover those expenses. My husband is an army veteran, but does not qualify for any special programs. he doesn't have a degree and is in his late forties. good luck changing professions after 22 yrs. And in this economy, how are we supposed to support our kids and keep our house working part time jobs where we can!?!? We can barely feed ourselves. If not for help from family and friends, we would be homeless. (BTW, this is the first time in my whole life I've ever been unemployed. Ever!)

Unemployed Story #1808: Robert, dayton-Ohio

I lost my job of almost 10 yrs at general motors moraine assembly plant. I elected not to take the buyout and go to school, which i did and graduated with honors in electronic engineering. My tier 4 unemployment ran out on june 2nd, a week after i finished school. Now im out of school so my TAA benifits are no longer available and my tier 4 benifits have ran out. I've yet to even get a call back for an interview in the dayton ohio region. Its clear obama doesnt care for a tier 5 or the senate or house. At this point, does it really matter where the money comes from, who cares if its not from unused stimulus funds. Theres millions un-employed that could benifit from a tier 5, however, if you have a cushy job as a politician, whats it matter, your not affected....until election time.

Unemployed Story #1807: julie, Winchester-Ohio

I am a single mother of 2. I have been unemployed since 12/08 because my company decided to close it's doors. Since my benefits exhausted I have gotten my car reposessed, my utilities are all about to be disconnected, and I can't sleep at night worrying where our next meal is gonna come from. My children shouldnt be forced to live like this and there seems to be no help in site anywhere. I hae never asked the government to help me with my bills untill now only to hear there are no funds available at this time. Please pass the Tier 5 unemployment benefits so we can begin to see some light.

I am one of the millions of "99ers" who seem to have been forgotten by everyone! I am an Executive Assistant with over 30 years of experience who have been unable to find work after being laid off over 2 years ago although I have sent out hundreds of resumes - with no results! We need your help to survive while we continue our job search.
