Some politicians are saying that the latest unemployment report is good news, but it's not. It shows us that this country is still in crisis. It shows us that the government needs to act quickly and aggressively to create jobs, and to restore the lost earning power of the average American who has a job.

Most of all it shows us that millions of struggling people are still invisible in the Nation's Capitol.

This week the Occupy movement is holding a series of "Take Back the Capitol" events in Washington. Let's hope it shines some light on the country's unemployed, under-employed, and under-earning millions. Until now, they've been pretty much invisible in that town.

Protesters are encamped at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Critics of the financial industry and some clergy members are upset over suppression by St. Paul’s Cathedral of a report that would appear to reveal a shared denial of responsibility for the financial crisis within the London banking community.

It is suspected that publication was delayed in order to prevent powerful interests from getting the impression that the cathedral sided with protesters. A spokesman suggested the report was withheld because other events in the news would prevent it from getting the attention and debate it deserved.

Minimum Wage

Workers in BMW's auto plants in Germany make twice as much as US workers in BMW plants who make $15 an hour. Oh and by the way German workers get 35 days of vacation AND decent healthcare.

And why does Germany's Manufacturers do so well?
