FREE On April 2nd, a new Federal Trade Commission rule will require websites advertising free credit reports to direct consumers to the government-approved site: www.annualcreditreport.com. TV and radio ads must do the same starting Sept. 1, 2010. Previous to the new law, credit report companies could advertise free reports, but then charge the consumer monthy for the reports.
