Frankly, it's hard to believe such an outrageously cruel, unbalanced and unfair proposal. But we're not talking about fair or balanced here -- we're talking about Fox and the Wall Street Journal -- the same group that forced you to lose your job, your career, your house, food and medicine for you and your children, and your hope for the future. It's the cruelty of plutocrats and war lords (Goldman-Sach's Blankfein says he's doing the work of God, after all), and the war is on us.

As The Wonk Room points out, extending the tax cuts for the rich — which costs $830 billion over ten years and $36 billion next year alone — is the least efficient way to boost the economy via tax policy. And as the record of the Bush administration shows, tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans do not trickle down to everyone else. So let’s call this segment what it was: shilling for the rich while pushing higher taxes for the poor.
