Apropos Quote: The most formidable weapon against errors of every kind is reason. - Thomas Paine

Frankly, it's hard to believe such an outrageously cruel, unbalanced and unfair proposal. But we're not talking about fair or balanced here -- we're talking about Fox and the Wall Street Journal -- the same group that forced you to lose your job, your career, your house, food and medicine for you and your children, and your hope for the future. It's the cruelty of plutocrats and war lords (Goldman-Sach's Blankfein says he's doing the work of God, after all), and the war is on us.

WATCH Fox News propose more taxes on the poor while extending Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.

WATCH Wall Street Journal editorial board member Stephen Moore call for more taxes on the poor, so he and his billionaire corporate friends can pay less.

As The Wonk Room points out, extending the tax cuts for the rich — which costs $830 billion over ten years and $36 billion next year alone — is the least efficient way to boost the economy via tax policy. And as the record of the Bush administration shows, tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans do not trickle down to everyone else. So let’s call this segment what it was: shilling for the rich while pushing higher taxes for the poor.

Workers in BMW's auto plants in Germany make twice as much as US workers in BMW plants who make $15 an hour. Oh and by the way German workers get 35 days of vacation AND decent healthcare.

And why does Germany's Manufacturers do so well?
