AGEISM [ey-jiz-uh
m] --noun A tendency to regard older persons as debilitated, unworthy of attention, or unsuitable for employment. (Source: Dictionary.com)
At NoJobSurvivor, we're literally hearing of thousands of people who experience blatant ageism when trying to land a job. Why is ageism accepted and tolerated? Why is the co-chair of the President's Fiscal Commission, Republican Senator Alan Simpson of Wyoming allowed to call people over 50 "greedy geezers"? Would he get away with a slur like that if it was racist instead of ageist?
There are millions of vibrant, formerly hardworking Americans who now feel they've worked 30, 40, or 50 years of their lives for absolutely nothing. They're smart and experienced, but have been forced out... done... to never work again, to never have respect again, and thanks to the clueless and coldhearted in Congress, be on their way to homelessness.
Now, there are over 40 million older Americans who are in danger of losing crucial elements of the social security that they PAID for. Yes, PAID for.

Fight back by calling or emailing the President and your Congresspeople. FIGHT this blatant and illegal discrimination!
Workers in BMW's auto plants in Germany make twice as much as US workers in BMW plants who make $15 an hour. Oh and by the way German workers get 35 days of vacation AND decent healthcare.
