Computer Keyboard HandsHaving trouble getting in for an interview? Not hard to believe since it's most likely hundreds of people are applying for the same job you are. Many companies are using keyword-search software to wade through the giant file of applicants, so if you aren't including the key words of the job description in your resume, your submission may never even be seen by human eyes!

Here are a few hints:

  • Go to the potential job description and identify the most important aspects of the job duties.
  • Single out the descriptors/keywords.
  • Make sure you include these words when presenting your experience.
  • Be as succinct as possible. Imagine you're the one looking through a large file of resumes!

Another thought, run your resume for a particular job by a friend and ask if they know the job title or position you are applying for.

And, GOOD LUCK!

Minimum Wage

Workers in BMW's auto plants in Germany make twice as much as US workers in BMW plants who make $15 an hour. Oh and by the way German workers get 35 days of vacation AND decent healthcare.

The tea party want to abolish the minimum wage. Did YOU VOTE?

Advertising disclaimer of sorts: NoJobSurvivor has received unsolicited anti-jobless, pro-corporation, right-wing propaganda advertisements in the rotating Google ad feed. Sorry for these offensive eyesores. We don't like them and wish they would never show up. Feel free to tell us the URL so we can block it. Thanks.course
