Monty Python Market Haggle SceneWay before the Chinese invented money, people bartered for goods and services. If you needed bricks to build a house, you probably would have bartered some  of  your  corn to get them, and maybe your wife's weaving could've been bartered for thatching of the roof.   Now, in these days of anything-goes-to-survive, bartering  is back. Look at: barter of resume writing for  some  web design on this blog between the two professionals: Louise and Laura. Their recommended exchange links are below, although I don't  necessarily  endorse them. A quick google finds lots of these exchanges out there on the web. Some are subscription or fee based, and  some  are free, but in principle they all work the same way. One registers and lists what skills or products that can be bartered and the parameters around the exchange. Does any one know if  the  taxman has caught up with  bartering  yet?

And, if bartering is not for you, perhaps haggling is. Here's all you need to know.

Barter Exchanges:

As I find more links for barter information, I will add them to our weblinks list and by all means if you have had experience with barter exchanges, let us  know  and we will list them as well.

Minimum Wage

Workers in BMW's auto plants in Germany make twice as much as US workers in BMW plants who make $15 an hour. Oh and by the way German workers get 35 days of vacation AND decent healthcare.

The tea party want to abolish the minimum wage. Did YOU VOTE?

Advertising disclaimer of sorts: NoJobSurvivor has received unsolicited anti-jobless, pro-corporation, right-wing propaganda advertisements in the rotating Google ad feed. Sorry for these offensive eyesores. We don't like them and wish they would never show up. Feel free to tell us the URL so we can block it. Thanks.course
