"I'M GETTING ARRESTED!"
SFGate: Don’t you hate it when you’re busy protesting something and get carted off in cuffs before you get a chance to cancel your evening plans?
Well don’t worry, there’s now an app for that.
The makers of the Android app “I’m Getting Arrested” say the app will let protesters “alert your lawyer, loved ones, etc … that you are being arrested with a click. ‘I’m Getting Arrested’ enables anyone, with one click, to broadcast a custom (text) message,” the makers say in Android’s app store.
The app is inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement, say makers Quadrant 2.
If (or maybe when) you get arrested, just click a big red and white target on the center of your Android phone and a text message is sent to selected contacts.
We suggest something like: “Hey Honey, I’m not going to be home for dinner and, oh yeah, I might need bail.”
The app then confirms that your message has been sent and tells you to “Be Polite.”
