Laughter

Laughter -- it feels good and it's good for you -- damn, it doesn't get much better than that.

will-work-for-shitAccording to a study done at Stanford, laughter acts like a reward. And since most of us get rewards from our job, or the work we do, our reward-trough is close to empty right now.

So, start filling it up! Check out our cartoons, fun articles, videos, film & book ideas, photos and more and have a good laugh! You need it.

Oh, and don't forget to pass the laughter on to friends or ex-coworkers, or even those "left behind." Cuz, boy, they REALLY need it.

You've been laid off; you need a hearty laugh and an
uplifting song to sing around the house.
The film Life of Brian has it all!
Go ahead -- sing it!
Always look on the bright side of life!

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.

No Job Loafing! - Laughter

While we miss regular paychecks, there are some aspects of corporate life that we don't miss.  Here's a recently leaked internal memo from an unnamed company.

To: All Staff
Date: 1 Jan 2009
Subject: New Office Policy
Dress Code:
  1. You are advised to come to work dressed according to your salary.
  2. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we will assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise.
  3. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise.
  4. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.

CALLAHAN -- fantastically irreverent. Check him out at http://www.callahanonline.com/index.php

John Callahan was a cartoonist, artist, and musician noted for dealing with macabre subjects and physical disabilities. He died in July 2010, but his brilliance lives on in his cartoons, film and music.

Callahan became a quadriplegic in an auto accident at 21.The a ccident happened in Callahan's car after a day of drinking alcoholic beverages. His car was being driven by a man with whom he was bar hopping.

Following his accident, he became a cartoonist, drawing by clutching a pen between both hands. His visual artistic style was simplistic and often rough, although still legible.
