Here are five ways to stay positive with or without a sour economy: 
- Exercise. An endorphin rush always helps your mind function at its peak.
- Get outside. Nature has a way of soothing stress and easing your mind.
- Tap into your support network. Stay in touch with friends, family and colleagues who can help you maintain your balance.
- Volunteer. Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to your community.
- Sleep. Getting a good night's rest allows you to function at full capacity the next day.
If you're in the job market, staying positive is imperative. Create your own luck by being out in the world and talking to others. You can hear about new situations in all sorts of places including coffee bars, gyms and restaurants. Job leads can come from connections in your new larger extended network.
